What I am Interested in These Days
My current interests revolve around automating the marketing and operations of small to mid sized businesses with solutions related to cloud computing (Amazon WebServices), virtualization (KVM, libvirt) and containers (Docker & LXC).
Designing and build systems of micro-services, RESTful APIs, Network Function Virtualization (NFV) and Software Defined Networking & Infrastructure (SDN & IaaS)
I am a Software Engineer & Architect with many years of experience who is passionate about keeping up on changes and trends in the industry.
I believe clear and consistent communications are the first and most important step to building solutions that people will enjoy using.
My Background in a Nutshell
My experience is primarily as a systems developer with a heavy background in Unix like operating systems including Linux and C/C++ programming and Open Source projects.
I have developed a lot of computer network software, including routing protocols from scratch. Give me an RFC or Internet Draft and I’ll give you software that can talk to other computers. Likewise, I’m equally comfortable building a functioning systems from a high level design, or fleshing out a solution from rough ideas or vague concepts.
I Keep up with the State of The Art
These days I am especially interested in learning and working with the Go (Golang) and Clojure programming languages and the respective echo systems. Nodejs is a really cool system, especially when to Electron.
Need to Higher a Winner?
If you are looking to hire a leader with a history of developing complex solutions. I can start projects with minimal guidance, work well on my own, but I really love working with a small team of smart, high energy engineers and designers.
Consider contacting me.
I am currently open to full or part-time work. Temporary short or long term assignments. For the right opportunity I may be interested in a full time position.
My family and I love were we live, we are very involved in with our families, friends and community here in Huntington Beach. Hence, it is highly unlikely I will consider relocation.
However, I have been very productive and successful delivering results working remotely.
I certainly don’t mind traveling on occasion as needed. If you are in or near Orange County I don’t mind making it to the office.

You can visit my somewhat boring resume here.
Otherwise, I feel a little self indulgent writing a multi-part series on my work history, and a piece on how it all started, but it is hard to put decades of diverse experience into a two page resume (and leave enough whitespace to make it readable).
Besides, a smart person told me: “it is good to let people know a little more about you with an opportunity to get to know you”.
So, I am in the process of creating a short series on my professional journey, as well as a post on how it all started, right here: the foundation / my education
